It’s been a rough real estate market for sellers in South Redondo’s Brookside Village.  There are currently 5 homes on the market and each has reduced the price.  Currently the longest on the market at 163 days is an updated condo at 810 Camino Real #104.

When we originally posted about this condo when it was first listed, they had it priced at $780,000 which we thought was pretty bold given the location and the prior  2 bedroom condos selling at $705,000, $670,000 and $655,000.

After a number of price reductions and one brief stint in escrow the home is now priced at $689,900.

The home is by Lisa Oliveras & Ramsey Oliveras of Estate Properties.

The condo is nice and bright and is located in a relatively quiet part of the community.  This well maintained unit offers some updates throughout including laminate floors, update baths, opened kitchen and more.

The community amenities are plentiful with beautifully landscaped grounds, tennis courts, fitness center, two beautiful pool and spa areas, clubhouse and even some river and ponds featuring Koi fish.  It’s a very pleasant and friendly community.  Brookside offers a great location close to the beach, Riviera Village and central to endless activities.

The market has certainly slowed down in south Redondo Brookside Village with price reductions and lengthy days on market becoming the norm. Of the 4 active listings 3 have fairly significantly lowered the price since first listed. The other is new to the market. Of the 4 pending sales 2 of those reduced the price as well.

If you’ve been in the market for a 3 bedroom condo in Brookside it’s been a good time to be looking.  There have been 3 homes to hit the market.   One quickly went into escrow then a second hit the market at a very attractive $849,000.  With the other 2 being priced considerably lower, it was probably just a matter of time before the price reduction on this one.  It was originally listed at $1,090,000 and just reduced to $999,000.

What a few weeks it’s been with multiple condos hitting the market in South Redondo’s Brookside Village.

The latest condo for sale is a clean and somewhat updated first floor unit on the Camino Real side of the community in a nice an peaceful location surrounded by grassy areas and water features.

The home is by Kathy Siegel of Vista Sotheby’s International.

As mentioned there are some original features and some updates.  The updates include hardwood floors in the dining area, double pane  windows,  and newer carpet.  The home sits just near the main pool and actually has a bit of a view of the pool and jacuzzi area without being too close.
