First Half Recap – Home Sales in Brookside Village Through June 23

With the first half of 2020 winding down it’s time for a look back at the year so far.  There have been 9 closed condo sales in Brookside Village.  The median “list” price of those homes was $575,000 with the median “sold” price of $579,000 and a median price per square foot of  $615.38.  The average days on market was a very short 23…..all of this indicating high demand and a very strong “sellers market”.

Take a look at our Redondo Beach real estate recap.    We have more detailed stats at our Redondo Beach market stats page but this is a quick glance at the details.  There were 51 home sales in Redondo Beach with a median sales price of $1,144,000.  Homes averaged 22 days on the market before going into escrow with an average price per foot of $621.

May Home Sales in Redondo Beach

May was slow month for home sales in Redondo Beach with only 52 closed home sales.  The median list price for the month was $1,044,000 with the median sale price of $1,050,000 indicating that, although the number of sales was well down from average, it’s still a sellers market with very high demand. The average price per foot of the homes that sold was $638.47 and average days on market was only 30.

The only Brookside Village home that sold during the month was a 2 bedroom condo at 824 Camino Real # 204 that was listed for and sold at $579,000.

After a Long Hiatus – 607 Prospect Ave #204 is Back on the Market

Whether it’s a sign that things in the Redondo Beach real estate world may be returning to normal is yet to be determined, but it is good to see the recent listing of 607 Prospect #204 coming back on the market. Originally listed back in August and priced at $414,000 this one bedroom condo has been on and off the market several times. The latest time off market was likely due to the conditions and challenges in the market presented by the coronavirus but it’s now back on and listed at $425,000.
