April A Big Month for Home Sales in Redondo Beach

Home Sales and Prices in Redondo Beach During AprilLuxury primary suites in Redondo Beach

The Redondo Beach real estate market continues to impress with 70 homes selling in April of 2024.

April 2024 was an impressive month both in terms of the number of homes that sold and the price that they sold for.  The 70 homes that sold was the highest number since June of 2022.

The average list price of the homes that sold was $1,745,698 with the average sale price at $1,766,921 meaning that homes generally sold over the full asking price.  This  was a bit higher than the average of $1,765,828 in March, and a significant jump up from February’s $1,598,789 average, and  $1,565,843 in January.

The average price per foot was $963 and the average days on market for the homes that sold was a short 29 (47 in March) so homes definitely sold quickly.

One of the homes that sold in April was a condo in Brookside Village.  The 2 bedroom condo sold for $745,000 and was located at 631 Prospect AVE #201

The latest condo to sell in South Redondo’s Brookside Village was a beautiful top floor remodeled condo.  The listing shows as a 1 bedroom but it’s actually a 1 bedroom + loft which can be used as another bedroom.  The condo was listed at $659,999 and sold just above full price.

The top floor location makes for a much roomier feel with vaulted ceilings, extra windows, great light and of course the loft.  The home has been beautifully remodeled with an upgraded and opened kitchen, new bath, hardwood floors and more.  It’s beautiful and sitting inside the complex has a nice quiet location.

We had mentioned when we first posted about the listing that we thought it was priced on the high side given that the higher end 1 bedrooms (without loft) maxed out at $550,000 we’re happy to report that it sold at a big price.  The unit next door  at 605 S Prospect Avenue Unit#302(same layout but not as upgraded) sold for $600,000 just about a year ago in December 2022.

It was a solid year for condo sales in Brookside Village in South Redondo Beach.  There were 18 condo sales in the community during 2023 with an average sales price of $701,306 and a median sales price of $685,000.  Homes were on the market for an average of 31 days before going into escrow.

2024 is off to a good start with some current listings and some beautifully remodeled condos currently on the market.
