Brookside Village Highly Upgraded Condo Breaks the High Price Record

Listed at $799,000 and Sold at $875,000

While it might seem that the market is a bit slower (because it is) but that doesn’t necessarily translate to lower prices.  In fact the very updated and remodeled condo at 615 S Prospect Avenue #105 just sold for more than any 2 bedroom condo ever in Brookside Village.

The most recent sale in the condo complex of Brookside Village in South Redondo Beach was listed at $799,000 and closed at a jaw dropping $875,000.  That’s a price only seen with 3 bedroom units.  The previous record sale was $850,000 for another highly remodeled condo at 906 Camino Real Unit#101 which sold for $850,000 (also listed at $799,000) back in 2022.

#105 was one of the nicer condos to hit the market in a while in Brookside Village.   The sellers did an extensive remodel and they not only did the cosmetic work, but opened up the floorplan AND added interior laundry which is very rare in Brookside Village.

The living, dining, kitchen offers an open-concept floor plan for the modern lifestyle.  Some of the upgrades include hardwood floors,  recessed lighting, soft-close kitchen cabinets, a spacious island with a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances.

The condo is listed by David Veerman & Michael Veerman of Re/Max Estate Properties.

The condo offers an open layout with remodeled and updated kitchen and bathrooms.  The home offers a nice and open kitchen for social living.  The home also features beautiful hardwood floors in most areas.

The listing doesn’t mention it, but based on the photos it appears that the condo may have interior laundry which is extremely rare in Brookside.

Take a look at the Redondo Beach homes that sold last month.

March 2024 was a solid month although still historically slow in terms of the number of homes that sold.  There were only 30 total closed escrows during the month.

The average list price of the homes that sold was $1,748,619 with the average sale price at  $1,765,828 meaning that homes generally sold a bit higher than full price.  This  was a significant jump up from February’s $1,598,789 average, and  $1,565,843 in January.

The average price per foot was $942 and the average days on market for the homes that sold was a relatively lengthy 47 but the median was a very brief 10 days on market before going into escrow.

None of the homes that sold last month were condos in Brookside Village but there are a few in escrow and few currently for sale.
